Sugar Palm Grand Hillside - SHA Plus

Beautiful hotel.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, ideal location. Exceptionally clean, large spacious room. Loved our stay, the only downside was building works carried out 7 days a week, the roof top bar was closed, which was the reason we book this hotel, over others in the resort. We were not notified of this before our stay, if we were we would have changed hotels. The staff were all so helpful, kind and friendly, especially Ron, who went above and beyond throughout our stay. He is a true gem to Sugar Palm.

Cons: Building works 7 days a week. Roof top bar was a building site, which was a massive loss to our stay.

Pros: Location private and close to the beach. Rooms spacious and beds comfortable. Staff accommodating and friendly. They upgraded my room for free. Very Impressed to stay here in the low season and pay a good rate

Cons: The lift a bit slow and had to wait during busy times. I see a lot of negative reviews. Many unjustified. I wouldn't hesitate staying again at a reasonable rate.

Pros: We really liked the location, and the small uphill walk was not a problem for us. Overall, we were satisfied with both the accommodation and breakfast. The staff were generally very kind and helpful, especially the cleaning team – they truly do a great job and deserve recognition.

Cons: Unfortunately, the reception was the only downside. It takes them ages to reply to messages, especially during the reservation process, which is disappointing for such a lovely and comfortable place. Honestly, if you have any questions, you’ll get more useful information from guest reviews than from the reception itself.

Beautiful hotel in great location

Pros: Superb location, very close to Kata and Kata Noi beach. You can see Big Buddha from the hotel. Our room with Private Pool was amazing, I loved swimming in the evening and taking in the scenery. Breakfast is amazing, big variety of choice. Staff was also very nice and courteous

Cons: As previously stated the resort is built on a steep incline, not suitable for those with mobility issues. We were on the top floor and the last 3 ascents were by a very steep ramp which was very difficult. Also the pool bar was not open during our stay
