Kata Hill Sea View Hotel

Would stay here again.

Pros: Mile was fantastic and so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for him. He messaged me before I arrived to welcome me, and I was able to message him throughout our stay there to ask for advice during our stay. The hotel itself is lovely. Bed is comfortable, room is large and balcony was a great size. Comes with kettle, TV with access to streaming services (if you are a night time TV person before bed like us), beach mats, fridge and air con. Nice strong shower too. Great location, literally a short walk to the beach and local shops and restaurants.

Cons: Nothing. It is up a steep hill, which didn't bother us at all. Its about 1 minute of good cardio. But if you have mobility issues this would be an issue.

Overall good budget family friendly stay

Pros: We appreciated the Kata Hill Sea hotel, especially as we were a bit worried because of some of the reviews here. However it worked greatly for us. The place was clean, convenient and Mike the host was most kind and helpful. We specifically asked about ants as per the reviews and he just said keep food rubbish out of the place and there won’t be any. He was right. The balcony was sheltered from the sun and we could sit and enjoy a view of the main kata road with all hustle and bustle and the big Buddha and a bit of the sea. There were tables in the balcony which were for main use and we had takeout dinner there one night. The bed was very comfortable for us.

Cons: The pool was super small and i am not convinced had a functioning pump. However we didn’t mind, we didn’t come from the other side of the world to sit by the pool - kata beach was few minutes walk. The hill up to the hotel was literally 2-3 minutes walk so it was not a problem for us even with 2 young kids and a stroller.

Great trip!

Pros: The staff were so friendly and helpful. Location is great, walking distance to the main area. Room was spotless clean.

Pros: Best location, Mike was very nice and supported all our needs. He always makes sure if we are OK or we need anything else to make our day better. Very supported and welcoming hotel 🙏 😊

Pros: Great location, just at the end of Kata. Everything is super close, but it's not so noisy at night. Superb view all over Kata. Mika and his partner (unfortunately don't know her name) were excellent, super friendly, and helpful. Room and hotel facilities were very clean every day. Room was big and bed comfy. 5-star experience for much less price.

Pros: The location, the rooms, the view...everything was great and not expensive. But what I liked most was the warmth of the staff. I have rarely felt so welcome.

Delightful hotel stay

Pros: Great location to the Main Street in Kata and maybe a 5 minute walk to the beach. The room was spacious and very clean and the pool was lovely. Micheal, who runs the hotel, was lovely, he was extremely forthcoming and helped with any questions I had!

Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room is clean and have everything you need together with a good view towards the sea.

At the same price, would repeat no doubt.

Pros: Very helpful and welcoming staff. Close to the beach, night market and 7 eleven. The road to the hotel was pretty steep, and together with the surf lessons it gave me rock-hard glutes by the end of my stay. Also very close to a clinic, so when I got bali belly it was very much appreciated. Good value for money.

Cons: There was many tiny ants in the room. Every time they cleaned they killed them, but they still would get in soon after. Anyway, not really annoying for me as they were harmless. Also I thought I'd had access to the pool with views to the sea, and turns out is private for the Penthouse. That was my bad for not reading the description, but after explaining the situation to the receptionist, he let me go for a swim as soon as the Penthouse became free. So props to him.
