Kata View Guest House

Pros: I loved the location, hospitality, they provided complimentary tea and bread was a very nice gesture, the family run guest house was not only cute (Mother-daughter) but also very efficient.

Cons: To be frank we stayed there for one day, there was nothing we could think about which was not nice.

Nice place to stay

Pros: Simple but clean. Bed linen, towels are changed every day and the room is cleaned. Bottled water is always available in the fridge. The location is very good. Beaches, shops, a wide range of restaurants are within walking distance. A few steps away is a small Italian cafe where you can get good coffee and breakfast. The family who run the guesthouse are friendly and helpful. There is no problem they cannot solve. Day trips to the islands, show tickets, taxis, etc, ask them to organize. We got our island trips 50% cheaper than offers in the town. The house also offers massage services. If you have back pain or other nerve or muscle pain problems, there is a 74 year old lady there who I highly recommend. I got a lot of help from her. And it costs almost nothing. Please leave her a tip. Her work is worth it.

Cons: Not that there was anything we didn't like, but there are some minor drawbacks that are worth considering. The house is not very soundproof. Neighbors, slamming doors, and engine noise are well heard in the room for light sleepers at night time. The air conditioner can also be disturbing. Light sleepers should bring earplugs and noise problem is solved. It is also worth considering that there are no sockets by the beds and the television and wifi may not work properly at peak times.

Nice quiet stay in Kata

Pros: Good location with a lot of restaurants a little walk away. The beach was also not too far. The rooms were clean and the motorbike rental was pretty cheap

Cons: The beds were a little bit small and wobbled a lot. We sleeped allright though so no big problem.

Pros: Very friendly staff. Famiy run hotel, and I felt inkluded.

Could not fault all the facilities for the price

Pros: The service of the staff. They went above and beyond to help in all aspects of the holiday

Cons: They just need to keep moving their Buisness forward as they see fit. It takes time to get to the top

Great value for money.

Pros: I've booked the room for 3 nights. Everything went fine, good stay for this money. Great location, 1 minute on bike to the beach, not busy street, a lot of restaurants nearby. The room is clean and tidy, they clean up it every day. It was in the separate building, that is far from the street, so it was quiet. Owners rented me a motorbike Honda PCX for 250 tbh per day.

Cons: * The toilet gurgles loudly when one of the neighbors is flushed. * There's no soundproof, you can hear everything you don't want to. * Very few sockets in not convenient places.

Pros: Good location near to the restaurant and beach. Friendly staff.

Pros: Perfect location for Karon and close to kata beach. Lovely staff, complimentary tea, toast and water which is really great. Rooms were clean and comfy bed :)
