Exceptional: food, drinks, staff and facilities

Pros: Everything. Had all inclusive package and loved it. Definitely worth the buy. Staff where excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. Cocktails were wonderful and food was yummy and plenty full

Cons: Distance from airport but worth the trip

Pros: We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Merlin Beach. From start to finish everything exceeded our expectations. The pools are fantastic – plenty of space, beautifully maintained, and perfect for families. Our kids absolutely loved it, and there was always something for them to do. The staff around the pool area were outstanding – friendly, attentive and always smiling. The overall cleanliness of the resort was exceptional, from the rooms to the communal areas. It genuinely feels like a luxury resort that takes pride in every detail. The fireworks and event evenings were a real highlight and made the stay feel even more special. Those touches really set this hotel apart and created amazing memories for our family.

Cons: The only small downside was that room cleaning was sometimes quite late in the day, but honestly that’s minor compared to how great everything else was. The positives outweigh the negatives by a long shot.

Super pleasant, would definitely return

Pros: The staff was above and beyond! Plenty of choice to eat between all the restaurants, never had any trouble getting a reservation for dinner. The all-inclusive option package really allows you to get food and drinks at any time, not restricted to meal times.

Cons: Takes a while to get there from the airport and other touristic attractions. The beach has too many corals in the ocean, very difficult to walk there.

Perfect family holiday with young kids

Pros: Beautiful grounds with every little detail thought out for families. The staff were amazing. Lovely private beach with gorgeous sunsets

Pros: Staff were very friendly and variety of restaurants and food! Pools were amazing and access to the beach a bonus!

Cons: Restricted on the last two nights as there were a restaurant and the rum shack closed to hotel guests due to a corporate conference!

Lovely and memorable stay

Pros: Beautiful resort with its own private beach. Restaurants and food was amazing. Spectacular pools and bars. Staff were friendly, helpful and hospitable.

Cons: Not the property but just the traffic delays in Phuket in general. The resort was beautiful.

Excellent resort to stay in Phuket very friendly and family environment…

Pros: Great Location, breakfast & restaurant were amazing, pool & kids activities excellent, WIFI everywhere in the resort, beach was so nice at sunset… had a great time at the resort… staff were very nice and helpful…

Pros: Beach during hide tide is great to explore sea life with snorkels (which can be borrowed from hotel). The pools are clean and big, with different options for more relaxing or playing pool games. Our room was clean and big, with a comfy bed. Although it is a more family orientated hotel with lots of activities for kids, we enjoyed it as a couple too.

Cons: Shuttle hours to Patong are a bit limited and cost money for afternoon rides.

Nice if you have the money and want to stay mostly in the Resort

Pros: Many clean pools and lots of food options to choose from. Staff were very kind. There were free activities provided by the hotel like snorkling (only during low tide), yoga, and heaps of others for every hour of the day. Happy hour drinks and bar in water was great.

Cons: Location a bit far. More frequent shuttles are needed. There weren't many vegetarian and vegan options. Check in and check out was quite a long process.

Pros: Facilities, choice of food and beverages on the all inclusive package, private beach and stunning location, warm swimming pools

Cons: As the hotel gets busier sun beds in prime locations are harder to find and the hotel enforces a policy whereby your items are removed from loungers if you are gone for more than 1 hour, this seems like a good idea until you want to take a leisurely lunch as a family There was a complete lack of organisation for taking out the hotel kayaks and first come first served did not work as intended
