Sunset Beach Resort

Pros: Big rooms and a good location. The pool area was lovely.

Cons: The free shuttle to Patong only came every hour and was always full from another resort. The staff weren't very helpful.

Pleasant, affordable, accomodating staff, would stay again.

Pros: Pool side area was lovely. Pool itself was immaculate and well maintained. Shady and sunny areas available, fresh pool towels every day. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Attentive and friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast with a wide variety of options.

Cons: Rooms were a little dated however comfortable and clean. Made for a pleasant stay. We originally asked for a Seaview room which we requested to change as the pool side rooms were more holiday vibes, of which the staff accommodated no problem when one became available. Poolside has a quieter feel about it as it’s not near the main room. Would recommend.

A superb hotel in all respects.

Pros: As I rode my last lift journey down to the pool seeing the sea and a parked cruise ship out in the distance, I really couldn’t think of anything negative about this place. Great location (close enough to beaches and shops and the crazy Patong - but far enough out of it if you want to relax) amazing staff, everything was clean and immaculate (staff would regularly polish floors and wipe surfaces) and breakfast was delicious. It really is great on all levels! Service staff cleaning the rooms were the smiliest, greatest bunch of people ever. The beach opposite is not swimmable but 2 mins walk is sunset beach which is divine, pics below. It was 10/10 all round!

Nice stay.

Pros: Nice property shuttle was good staff good. Massage and facial in spa was excellent.

Cons: One morning there would be no water left, the next time it would be no morning tea left. Room items replacements should be consistent not the guest having to chase.

January 2026 (stayed twice)

Pros: Nice hotel and enjoyed the pool dpace. Decent onsite foodxand drinks. Bit of a walk into patong (we used a lot of tuk tuks) as free transfer seemed abit limited but that was ok. We stayedbin 2 different rooms. The first room was a seperate nooking as we arrived in kalim earlier than planned and room was clean but fairly standard. Second room was a junior suite which was more spacious with living room snd kitchen area.

Cons: Might have been a little overpriced for the area

Pros: Nice connecting rooms for my family and kids. Pool was great fun. Breakfast/restaurant was good, great views with your meals especially the sunset! Great location for local food night market.

Cons: The shuttle service could have more time structure to guide patrons whether to wait for service or find own transport.

Wonderful

Pros: Staff were lovely; smiley, friendly and very helpful. Location: The hotel is near enough to town to walk to or use the free shuttle bus, but far enough away to have a quiet night's sleep. Good choice of food at the breakfast buffet. Beach was just across the road

We had an incredible stay! The facilities; the staff and the general activists at and around the resort were fantastic.

Pros: Everything regarding the resort was outstanding; but the warm hospitality and friendliness of the staff is what stole the show. What a fantastic team! Keep up the amazing work.

Sunset beach hotel

Pros: The location was just right, free shuttle bus really helped. Staff were amazing and food was nice. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. WiFi reached all over

Cons: Kids club was unsupervised. Some food dishes weren't great

Pros: Pool was amazing. Staff went above and beyond to help. Loved the jungle out the back window.

Cons: There is no direct beach access and hotel has 2 parts and is divided by road.
