The Mooring Resort

Pros: The people here are so kind and the bungalows are absolutely beautiful. Right by the sea in a quiet little bay. The restaurant serves incredibly delicious dishes, and you can borrow stand-up paddle boards and kayaks for free. I can truly recommend everything from the bottom of my heart

Nice Villa in front of public beach. Nice but not fantastic.

Pros: We stayed as a family in the beachfront Villa. The rooms were decorared nicely but the surroundings did not match expectations. When you read the reviews from other guests this place sounds like heaven but honestly that is difficult to understand. The nearest adjacent restaurant The Cove serves good food but the portions are tiny and the price level is high.

Cons: No privacy in living room at night as there is no curtains or awnings. Even though there are few people directly in front of Villa it is still a public beach. One of the rooms had very noisy AC and one side of the double bed mattress sunken by previous guests. The beach itself is OK but nowhere near what you will find in Khao Lak or elsewhere in Thailand.

Pros: Great location, right on beach, with swimming pool (though I didn't use in the end as too busy sightseeing), spacious room and en-suite, v clean, modern with Thai touch, quiet except for the rolling, breaking waves, an added bonus

Cons: Not a complaint, rather an observation to share: my room didn't have beach view, but most did, some right on beach! I booked last minute, last availability, so fair enough. No bar, food amenities, but it's a small select property, and anyway adjacent property (the Cove, where friends were staying), had bar & food - which was good quality & well priced.

Pros: What a beautiful space created by the staff and facilities. We had the most beautiful and relaxed week long stay, it was hard to leave. Good restaurant right next door, order in from town or walk the 10 minutes for more choice. Clean and exquisite beach at your doorstep.

Pros: We were a couple and enjoyed the quiet, the large, clean, tastefully decorated rooms. The pool is not large but it was enough for us, there is a beautiful private beach, the staff was charming and met all our needs. The location is half an hour from the old city, a bit far but worth the privacy and quiet. Thank you very much.

Pros: I admit the rooms and the private beach is just incredible. The rooms are big and comfortable with some good tea and coffee, the resort is pet friendly and if you’re a solo female traveller you’ll be more than safe in this part of Phuket. The staff are lovely.

Cons: It’s cut off from everything, be prepared to walk in a hilly area to find more restaurants etc. This is not the place for you if you want a party.

Exceptional quiet and relaxing

Pros: The location of the hotel is amazing, the private beach really makes you feel like on a remote island far from everything,If you are looking for a quiet place where you can relax you should definitely give a try to this hotel. The hotel is located in a small bay which is protected from wind and waves. The staff working at the hotel was very very kind and helpful, they explained us everything and told us we can use the kayak, paddle board, snorkeling masks for free. All the facilities were very well kept, the pool and the beach were cleaned every morning from the leaves that would fall from the trees above. The rooms were spacious, equipped with all you could ever need and very clean. I can only recommend this place and thank the personnel working there for their welcoming.

Cons: The downside is that the hotel doesn’t include breakfast. The option they provide is to order from the restaurant located on the beach next to the hotel, (no discounts offered to clients from the Mooring resort). The restaurant is very good, the atmosphere is really nice, there are a lot of options and the food and service is truly amazing. However the portions were pretty small and prices are overly expensive for Thailand standards. You should definitely take this expense into account if you decide to stay for a long period and exclusively rely on the restaurant on the beach.

Pros: Beautiful setting on a quiet beach, spacious rooms are in very good condition. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant next door is excellent quality.

perfect place for relaxation!

Pros: before check-in the communication was very good. The staff are so helpful and friendly, they offered to help us with the transport and allow us to check in early and stay on the beach after the check out. All check in details was offered professional in a pleasant tone. The location is right on the beach and in one day a friendly monkey walked and we took pictures. :) The 7 Eleven is like 2 kilometers away and you can do the shopping's there and take a Grab taxi on the way back. Also in the evening we ate at another restaurants on the other beach which was on short distance on the right hand side of the location. If you want to book a trip with the boat, the staff arrange it for you. Also the Thai massage can be booked with the help of the staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a heavenly escape by the sea!
