Pros: I wasn't the biggest fan of Phuket in general, but this hotel made my stay positive. The location was perfect - a couple of hundred metres away from the most crowded area and between Kata and Kata Noi beach. Room was really cozy and well equipped. Breakfast buffet had a reasonable amount of choice and everything was really tasty.

Good but not perfect

Pros: We stayed at this hotel for 19 days. It was very comfortable, with quick access to the beach near the surf school – just a 2-minute walk. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. From the window of our room there was a very beautiful view, we even saw a Big Buddha. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speak good English, and solve any issues. We would especially like to mention Sarah and Blue.

Cons: The room cleaning wasn’t perfect. For example, for all 19 days they somehow ignored cleaning the bathtub, so we ended up washing it ourselves. I’m also not sure whether they changed the bed linen or just straightened it, because towards the end of our stay the pillows started to smell. A double bed is made up of two separate mattresses, so if you and your partner like to sleep close together, one of you will constantly end up lying on the gap between them.

Great stay

Pros: Nice cozy hotel with short walk to the beach and 7-eleven. Welcoming and helpful staff working at the hotel, especially Sarah and Game :). Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and will come back to Sugar Marina if we ever visit Kata Beach again.

Pros: Hotel was in the process of being refurbished so most áreas looked fresh and newly painted. Staff were very helpfull and the breakfast was very good. Location was excellent with just a short stroll to the beach.

Cons: Some noise from on going refurbishment.

Pros: The location is perfect for me, it’s near the beach and many convenient stores and restaurants.

Cons: The room is not soundproof. Some utilities are not in a good condition for example hair dryer and telephone. (Room 134)
