Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus

Amazing !

Pros: Location is outside the crowded area and very quiet. Our room was extra spacious. Shuttle provided to/from Kamala beach. On site food offer is generous and very good. Many complimentary services such as the shuttle, massage, and a great breakfast menu. Now the best part : THE STAFF ! Incredibly kind and helpful people in the team ! They truly made us feel like guests and did everything they could to help us with our requests. Can't praise them enough !

Cons: Air conditioning system in our room was a bit dated, the temperature setting was hard to get, and it was quite noisy. Some might find the mattress very hard.

5 Star Experience!

Pros: - The view from the infinity pool of the sea was unbelievable - Free pickle ball session - Spoilt for choice at the breakfast buffet - Shuttle to beach every 2 hours (although why would you want to leave the hotel?) - Staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble - Spa on site with fantastic massages

Cons: - We were upgraded when we arrived but then were downgraded a night later which was a bit disappointing but staff did apologise profusely! - Somewhere on site to refill water bottles would be appreciated.

Pros: The staff were so helpful, welcoming and friendly, making the start of our trip so special!

Wonderful hotel

Pros: Wonderful room, the view is incredible and the staff was super friendly.

Cons: Since the hotel was built on the hill side, some steep climbs were needed to get to the room. On our second night the bell rang out of its own past night and again at 6am.

Top hotel on the shore of Kamala

Pros: The best hotel in Thailand with great view, rooms , pool and restaurant

Cons: The shuttles to the beach are not frequent enough.

Outstanding hotel, kind friendly attentive staff, clean and tidy throughout.

Pros: Private pool in suite was fantastic, views were great from pool. Cookery class with Hotel Chef was amazing. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and freshly prepared. Thai massage was heavenly

Cons: Friday evening Thai buffet limited what was available to eat. Bar was only open during day and had to go to main restaurant in evening, no biggie

Wonderful resort, with few minor glitches

Pros: Atmosphere facilitating relaxation. They staff is flexible and accommodating. The facilities a bit worn, but fully functional.

Cons: Upon arrival, we were greeted nicely, but the main person in the reception abruptly shushed her colleague, who was on the phone, it made us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, the private beach is wonderful, but when we went there, it was full of dirty plastic cups… no one had cleaned it in a while. The one time we used a shuttle bus to the town, it was a bit delayed on our way there and back, as if they didn’t expect people to use it. The last shuttle at 19:00 is a bit early, doesn’t allow for anyone to eat out, as if they wanted the guests to only use their restaurant.

Pros: Nice rooms, very good breakfast. Free shuttle to the beautiful Kamala Beach was perfect.

Beyond dreams and expectations. A big surprise

Pros: A very high standard hotel. Everything is in abundance. Each room looks like a private villa and has a private pool, jacuzzi, fully equipped kitchen. Free full fridge. Elegant. Great staff. I will go back there
