Aonang Orchid Resort

Pros: Breakfast was great. I love the central location. I have visited this resort 3 different times in the past 5 years.

Excellent hotel, staryed in pool access villa

Pros: We stayed in one of the pool villas and in our opinion it was worth the extra money. Considering the time of year (peak) it was nice and relaxed around the pool area. Pool was clean and tidy, big shout out to the pool attendant who catered for everyone's refreshment needs Food is very good, got the approval of my Thai wife so must be good! 3min walk to the beach and lots restaurants along the same road as the hotel.

Cons: Krabi's choice of restaurants sadly in decline due to majority being run by seemgly one enterprise. Nothing to do with the hotel though 😀

Pros: We stayed in a villa on the pool. It was awesome. Very roomy, deck area was so nice to have. as well as private pool entrance.

Cons: Enjoyed everything at the hotel. Only negative was the price we paid was way more than other guests!! :(

Pros: Beautiful pool area and the rooms are nice, clean, big, comfy beds - all great with the facilities provided.

Cons: Unfortunately we were on the side of the hotel that backed onto a bar that played very loud music until 1am-ish - ear plugs are a must. I expect the pool-facing rooms and villas are quiet.

Really enjoyed our stay and will be book again on our next trip

Pros: Helpful, friendly reception staff. Pool is fab. Staff are around all the time, keeping the grounds clean and tidy. The pool bar is convenient, staff member there is friendly and pleasant.. Rooms are spacious. The beds are big and comfy. Big tv on the wall if you want to log into your own streaming services. Useful fridge in the room. Minibar reasonably priced. 2 bottles of water provided daily, very useful. Air con was brilliant. Friendly efficient housekeeping staff. Some brilliant towel origami. We enjoyed that. Breakfast is decent, and a couple of items were changed daily to provide variety. Bar/restaurant on site is reasonably priced, friendly, efficient staff. Convenient location for beach, shops, and bars. We were in a pool room, so we weren't disturbed by road noise.

Cons: There were enough sun loungers even though it doesn't look like there are that many. You struggle to stay in the shade in the afternoon if that's what you want, though. Could do with bigger/more umbrellas. Rooms are maybe a little dated. Could do with more hanging space and a proper set of drawers. 2 people for 2 weeks need more clothes storage. Hot water wasn't very hot. Both showers leaked all over the bathroom. The one over the bath because of the design and the walk-in shower room because the step needed sealing properly. Bar/restaurant on site could have been a bit comfier to hang out at in the evening. It's a functional restaurant on the main road, an expensive hotel should have a nice bar area. Krabi itself is busy and noisy, not the fault of the hotel, but wouldn't stay there again. Very expensive hotel, no complaints on the service, but I'm not sure I would spend this much again.
