Great value and exceptional host.

Pros: Good location. Ramon was great. Went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.

Cons: Room overlooked the road which got a bit noisy especially during the night.

Great stay - comfortable room

Pros: Nice looking room. Comfortable big, new bed, warm shower, aircondition well working and not noisy, plus very modern fan. Rooms to greens/back offer view to big buddha - shade until mid day no street noise - can relax on balcony. Possibiliy to hang wet towels & swimrobe on balcony. Well working WiFi. Many power outlets in the room - no difficulty to charge phone laptop and co. Fridge and water boiler / cups in each room. Huge flat screen TV with any streaming app you coul imagine installed. Quiet located, but next to all amenities - walking distance 15 min to Kata beach (nice walk, cristal clear water). Restaurants minimarket, dive center, motorbike rent 2 min walk. Friendly staff - taking care of every guest - personal contact and feeling welcomed. Good energy. Can sleep and relax as long as you want as cleaning is upon request. We enjoyed our stay and extended - got other room which had same quality. Thank you :D

Cons: Clothspins would be useful on the laundry rack on the balcony in case its windy.

Lovely host and a really nice room

Pros: Host was very nice. Rooms were spacious and clean, huge tv was a big bonus and nice to chill and watch at the end of the night. Very nice location next to Kata beach, would recommend staying here:)

A pleasant surprise this guesthouse!

Pros: I had a nice room. Very comfortable bed with soft sheets. The room has curtains that can make the room very dark so I could sleep very well. The air-conditioning is quiet and does not disturb. Several choices of breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to make contact with other guests on the patio. Just a relaxed atmosphere. And the location has everything nearby. Beach, bars, restaurants, massage and shops. And the Internet was fast so I could do some online meetings for work in between beachvisits. Perfect.

Cons: Basicly nothing.

Pros: This was my third stay at Alura, and it honestly feels like coming home now. Each visit just reinforces why I keep coming back. The guesthouse is consistently spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable — you can tell a lot of care goes into every detail. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, perfect for switching off and relaxing. The hosts are warm, attentive, and always go out of their way to make you feel at ease without being intrusive. It’s rare to find a place that maintains such a high standard visit after visit, but Alura does exactly that. If you’re looking for a guesthouse you can trust for comfort, cleanliness, and genuine hospitality, Alura is it. I’m sure this won’t be my last stay.

Pros: Staying at Alura was honestly one of the best parts of my trip. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything — from local tips to arranging day trips. The vibe in the hostel is exactly what you hope for when traveling: friendly, laid-back, and full of interesting people from all over the world. The rooms were spotless and super comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay extra pleasant. The common areas were cozy and perfect for chatting, reading, or planning your next adventure. I especially loved how close the beach’s are — the bars and restaurants to are all 5 minutes walk — also the outside chill area, wow so unique with it’s quirky new look, what a vibe. Overall, Alura isn’t just a place to sleep — it’s an experience. Whether you’re a solo traveler or with friends, you’ll leave with great memories and maybe a few new travel buddies. I can’t recommend it enough!
