Wake up to soft sea breeze, chirping birds and the soothing waves at Yao Yai Beach Resort, a tropical resort on the beautiful island of Koh Yao Yai. Its sea-facing air-conditioned villas are made of natural materials and enjoy amazing sunset views. Surrounded by coconut trees and butterflies, the villas, which are between 10 and 30 meters from the private 75-metre long beach, all come with a mosquito net and private balcony. Wonderful resort and wonderful staff

Pros: Location right in the beach is fabulous. The grounds of the resort are well kept. Staff is very friendly and attentive, always happy to accommodate any requests. The room was comfortable with a great sea view and amazing sunset views. Breakfast included was a nice touch. Resort helped me organise some activities and they always priced very fairly, everything was delivered to perfection. Final word of appreciation for the excellent customer service. Very quick at responding to any queries. Thank you to the staff member that goes by the name ‘Okay’ - he looked after us very well. It’s been a while since in my various travels I saw such friendly and considerate customer service.

Beautiful location, delicious food but the facilities are in need of an upgrade.

Pros: The location was amazing, the staff super friendly and the food was some of the best we’ve tasted in Thailand.

Cons: Facilities in need of an update and the check in experience was poor.

Beautiful beach but more like a 3 star stay

Pros: We had a room with fabulous sea view and shared pool. Beautiful sandy beach for walks, massage and breakfast on the beach. Hotel is small and has a beautiful garden. Room was spacious and very clean

Cons: Apart from the room other facilities are nonexistent or in need of renovation. There is no front desk, hotel entrance is strange, lobby on the beach has great potential but looks ugly at its current state. Breakfast is too basic. Hotel too expensive for what it offered.

A lovely hotel and the lovation is perfect , right on a most beautiful beach, would recommend.

Pros: Very well looked after and clean. A small resort which is more personal. The staff were very friendly and so helpful too. The food was very good too.

Incredible location with friendly staff.

Pros: Location, location, location. We were right on the gorgeous beach. Our view from our room was incredible. We took a room with our own small pool on the deck. Perfect!

Cons: The facilities need some upgrades. Air conditioner in room is very loud. Our deck has some broken boards. Some of the beach chairs are broken.

Pros: Awesome location, clean rooms, friendly staff, big rooms. Nice for family. At walking distance from the best town in the island with many restaurants and stores. The resort should consider to expand breakfast options to make it even more attractive.

Pros: Great place, with very friendly staff and the best view on the beach. Cozy and relaxing atmosphere, and very friendly towards children. Would love to come back.

Cons: Nothing, it had all you needed plus the best view and restaurant on the beach.

Great week in a super resort

Pros: Staff are amazing.. Lovely rooms that are amazingly clean... Loved the resort. And happy we stayed here rather than any of the other resorts on the beach. Ps loved the cats

Cons: Choice of wine by the glass... Sorry I know this is fussy.... Don't like chardonnay. Have to say they did find us some nice wine by the bottle 🙏🙏

Lovely relaxed, helpful vibe. Right on the beach. Very happy stay.

Pros: Loved the location right on the beach. The staff were super helpful, and cocktails and dinner right on the beach was fantastic.

Cons: The area is a little crowded for my taste. Our room didn’t have mosquito screens on the doors which meant that we had to sleep with the glass doors shut so it was hot and stuffy, or cold with the air con on. Again that is personal preference. We had booked a room with shared pool and sea view, and it had all those attributes! But it was on the first floor with a long terrace slightly separate from the room, with a sea view right from the end the terrace. I would have preferred one of the pool rooms on the ground floor which face the sea directly!

Nice stay on the beach at Koh Yao Yai.

Pros: We were picked up at the pier and driven to the accommodation about a 40min ride, but worth it. The accommodation was right on a quiet stretch of lovely beach. The Grand Sea room was big, with a comfortable bed. The shower was not great, but ok. Breakfast’s was good. We ate at a small local restaurant in the village just a short walk up the beach, but there were lots of options available.
