Baan Taranya Koh Yao Yai Resort

Pros: Fantastic villa, lovely pools and fabulous beach front bar and restaurant. The staff were incredible; friendly, professional and couldn't do enough to assist me during my stay. Free shuttle to 7Eleven & Lamban Beach.

Beautiful

Pros: Absolutely beautiful place. On the beach - not really great for swimming but soooo stunning. Breakfast was amazing. The staff were so helpful and lovely. We would definitely come back

A well maintained resort in a great location

Pros: The resort is in a great location next to a lovely beach with a pier. The hotel and facilities are well maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is on the beach, so a great place to relax and enjoy food and drink at any time of the day. We very much enjoyed all the meals we had there. The hotel hires out mopeds which are a great way to explore the island and its lovely beaches. You can also explore the nearby islands on a long tail boat from the pier.

Cons: Our premium room was a little on the small side compared to other hotels we have stayed at, but it didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay. The resort is family orientated, so may not be suitable for all couples

Our favourite stay in Thailand .

Pros: The location was good , the room was spacious and comfortable but most importantly the staff were a delight. They were welcoming, incredibly helpful and happy .

Lovely Stay

Pros: Out room here was amazing we were in the pool rooms and the staff very attentive, organised taxis/massages etc for us. This hotel is right on the beach- we were there on New Years day and at one point were the only two on the beach which was lovely. ITs a shame we only stayed one night and didnt really get to explore nearby.

Cons: The food we had for lunch wasnt the best, we also waiting a long time for it, also quite expensive for the quality of the food.

Pros: A beautiful hotel located right on the beach. The rooms are lovely, ranging from classic hotel rooms to charming, atmospheric bungalows. The greenery around the hotel is stunning, with lush vegetation everywhere. There are two swimming pools, the staff are extremely kind and helpful, hotel also offers excursions at very good prices, the breakfast was excellent. Walking distance to restaurants and massage. The only downside is the daily low tide, which makes swimming in the sea impossible, but this is not the hotel’s fault and we were aware of it in advance. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

Heaven that misses a touch

Pros: The location is so beautiful, the double ensuite room we booked with the jacuzzi outside had the nicest view in the hotel. The bed was big and very comfy.

Cons: Imagine you are on the most beautiful island in Thailand, on the beach, at the beach bar, sipping a cocktail, eating something small and just wabt to chill and enjoy - and in the background there is TRAP music with unpropprionate VOLUME!! In general the restaurant area where everyone sits for breakfast and dinner is missing the right ambience, the music is always too loud but also so not connected to the vibe.. loud Taylor Swift songs, too-loud thai instrumental music for breakfast.. just off. Besides that the room floor is slippery..
