Pros: Hotel has everything what you need. Location is ale great, on foot you can come i 3min to the market and till 5 min to mamy restaurants in the neighbourhood. I really enjoyed the stay.
Cons: - coffeemaker was very slow and there were only 2 of them so waiting for coffee was annoying, too less for this number of tourists

Perfect for families and a beach holiday.
Pros: The position on a beautiful beach and proximity to local eateries.
Cons: For us, it was too “resorty” as we prefer smaller places but that’s a minor comment.

Very good value hotel on the island
Pros: Great Location on the beach, incredible sunsets, comfortable room. Can recommend for families with kids, not sure if couples would enjoy the continuous noise from babies and kids playing all day
Cons: The restaurant not good for the price

A relaxing stay on Koh Yao Yai at a hotel that has some undeserved harsh reviews.
Pros: Stunning setting right on the beach, great facilities, friendly staff and a great stay on Koh Yao Yai. There are a lot of nice restaurants and shops near by too. A lot of the reviews for this place are completely unwarranted and inaccurate. This is a small island with local staff and that needs to be respected. We arrived for our specific check-in time and everything ran really smoothly instead of turning up early and expecting to get into our room right away. House keeping comes to the room every day if you hang the sign on the door rather than just expecting it to happen. The staff are lovely and will ltry to accommodate everything. Any complaints about their English is unfair considering that the island isn’t a tourist hub. Everything runs fairly smooth at breakfast and the food/options are great, yes coffee takes a bit longer but hardly that much of an inconvenience and poor scores because there’s a queue for fresh cooked eggs is crazy.
Cons: I would advise that while it might not be advertised as such on booking.com, it is a very family friendly resort so expect a lot of children to be around. Not a bad thing for us but just for any couples/adults that are looking for a quieter space for their holiday. The pool did have a strong chemical/plastic smell.

Recommended. 4/5 stars.
Pros: Large spacious pool. Lots of sun chairs or bean bags. Restaurants/ shopping / convenience street right next door for ease. Good breakfast.
Cons: The breakfast staff are quite grumpy and the dinner restaurant staff are quite inattentive and slow. The restaurant also needs a new music playlist. Just played the same loop all week.

Pros: Lovely beach location but difficult to see other parts of the island without hiring a motor bike. The room was spacious.
Cons: Pool water was dirty which was a shame. Breakfast was good but queues for coffee, seats and cooked eggs were long. Could probably be easily sorted by a couple more coffee machines or jugs of filtered coffee and buffet style option for scrambled eggs etc … a few more tables or timed breakfast slots … just a thought!

Great beachfront location and family-friendly, but struggles when busy
Pros: Before our stay we read quite a few negative reviews, but our experience was actually great. We didn’t encounter most of the issues others mentioned, although we can see how some of them might occur, especially when the hotel is very busy, as the staff and organization don’t seem fully equipped to handle peak crowds. The location is excellent, right on the beach and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. We really loved having both the swimming pool (with a slide for kids) and direct beach access, perfect for families. Breakfast was good, and when we went early there was plenty of choice and seating available, though it might get busy later in the morning. Overall, despite the mixed reviews online, we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the location and facilities a lot, especially as a family.
Cons: The rooms are quite noisy, with very little sound insulation, so you can hear neighboring rooms easily. While the staff are friendly, their English is limited and they sometimes struggle with problem-solving. The hotel restaurant is also quite overpriced, so we chose to eat out every evening.
