Mala Hotel

Better than expected. Clean well situated and well equipped

Pros: Way better then in pictures. Very clean (the cleaning lady does an amazing job) very well equipped, water provided, beach towel as well, very well situated and very friendly staff. Highly recommend

Great Value stay near Kata Beach

Pros: Our stay at Mala hotel was pleasant and comfortable as expected. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and serviced daily. Beds are firm which seems pretty standard in Thailand. Included breakfast is basic but filling, but you have the option to go next door to Mala Dim Sum which is AMAZiNG and always full of locals. There’s also a fabulous street food diner around the corner called HUG. It’s a good 15-20 min walk to KATA beach which we didn’t mind or a short tuk tuk ride.It is also short walking distance to 2 gyms, both great but SK-1 gym is the best. Staff were always welcoming annd helpful. Mai will arrange airport transfers and tours if you give her enough notice

Cons: There was meant to be a free airport pickup on arrival included in our booking but despite providing all the details, it never happened. I think this was a miscommunication between booking.com and the hotel rather than the fault of the hotel. A taxi was easy enough to secure at the airport.

Pros: Nice clean room and given water daily. Bed was big and good wardrobe space, safe etc. Bathroom shower was slightly separate from the toilet which was good compared to the usual wet room style. Staff were helpful and polite.

Cons: We were in a building away from the main site which we weren’t expecting. Bed was really hard. No lift so not ideal with heavy bags.

Comfortable and beautiful stay in Kata beach

Pros: Mala hotel was a great choice to stay in Phuket in Kata beach! Super comfortable, clean and spacious room, nice and hospitable staff and really great value for money.

Very good variant for long accomodation or vacations.

Pros: Perfect 2-star hotel, spacious rooms with balcony and a lot of light, every day cleaning and free coffee in lobby. Freindly staff and managment, always helped with all questions. Rooms have fridge, coffee table, working space and big waredrobe. No kettle in room, but hot water in lobby and inside the hotel always available. No inside terrotory and no pool.

Cons: Location is good and close to the sea and shops, but the hotel is located on the big road, so sometimes it was not so quiet and convinient. Price was ok, but in other places for these types of hotels it is lower. But Phuket in total is not so cheap.

Great stay

Pros: The room was big, bright and clean. The toilet as well! Location of the stay was awesome, next to the Kata beach and a small but nice night market. If you take a scooter it's great because it's next to a main road.

Cons: We would love to have something to hang up clothe in the room. The closest smelled not well. The bed was a little bit to hard and the pillow was huge, to huge for my taste. We did not use the cleaning service so we did not got any water over the days (normally we got it everywhere even without using the cleaning service).
