Pros: Walkable distance to Laem Had Beach, not far from shops and a restaurant. Good facilities.

Cons: Nothing really

Pros: it was so nice to stay at friendlyhotel. The owner was so nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and whole hostel was very cosy

A great place to stay for travelers on a budget.

Pros: The accommodation is quiet and within walking distance of the pier. You can rent scooters there, and 7-Eleven and other shops are nearby. It's very quiet, and there's even a kitchen with free water and coffee.

Cons: We had the front room, and there were an awful lot of mosquitoes because it didn't open onto the garden (like the other rooms) but onto an anteroom with a shower. Despite using insect repellent, we were completely covered in bites. The owner should install fly screens!

Pros: it’s so peaceful! the beds are large and the man that works there is so sweet and kind. it’s around the corner from 7-11 and an easy enough walk to the beach.

Cons: it would be great if there were a few more toilets/showers.

First time.e hostelling

Pros: Can walk there from the ferry. Rented a moped nearby. Easy access to a 7/11 & a few restaurants

Cons: It is what it says. Nothing not to like

Pros: Nice spacious clean dorm room, with comfortable beds and blackout curtains. Its near the pier and walkable to the beach.

Cons: Not really a common area with comfortable places to sit but has a little kitchen area you can use and a couple of benchs. Could also do with another toilet and shower.

Lovely little hostel with friendly staff

Pros: This looked like the only hostel in Yao yai. It was clean and had a small socia area and kitchen. On arrival it felt like it was in the middle of nowhere - but actually there is a 7-11 and restaurants a 10min walk away, and you can walk to the beach in 20-25mins. If you don’t scoot there is not much to do, but you can also rent a scooter from reception which would make this the perfect budget location. I was able to organise a kayaking trip and a shared transfer to another part of the island through the super friendly guy on reception.

Cons: You need to have a scooter to make the most of this location. Okay for one or two nights if not.

Pros: We stayed in the bungalows, the bed were nice and we slept really good. You can rent a bike in the hostel so you come around the island. It was all clean.

Pros: Really nice property in general. Beds were comfy and in a good location. Could hire bikes easily to get around.

Cons: Could do with more toilets, only had one male and female toilet. Hostel isn’t massive so not too much of an issue though.
