Cheap and not particularly cheerful

Pros: Excellent location, in the heart of Phuket Old Town.

Cons: Suspicious looking stains on the bed sheets. And strange howling noises throughout the early hours of the morning by neighbouring rooms. There appears to be mice nesting in the ceiling tiles, with guano trails running along the skirting.

Pros: on Sunday evening there would be market with food and other items.

Central, but quiet as it is in the back.

Pros: Stayed here before. Central location. Large room. Quiet. Hot water in the communal area.

Cons: Need to make appointment for late arrival (after 9pm) to let you in, because the attached shop closes then, so there is no 24 hours reception. Need to enter by unlocking a padlock at night. Difficult to access the scooter parking (in narrow corridor), so better park outside in the next street.

Perfect

Pros: Perfect location, easy to find. Ladies at the shop are sweet. Quiet and huge room all to myself with my own bathroom. No AC, just fans, so it gets hot, but I knew that before booking the place.

Recommend

Pros: The rooms are on Thalang Street, the coolest Street in Phuket in terms of restaurants, cafes. Right in the center of Old Town. You have Hello India restaurant, EFE Arab Restaurant close by, A Chinese lunch place selling super yum crispy pork with rice called Ting Lee and lot's of Thai places. A small health food store selling Kombucha and other yum yums.

Cons: The rooms and beds look a little old but the rooms are quiet and comfy

We loved the area!

Pros: Best place in town for basic tourism. Right on the main of old town where it is very pretty and western. (Sunday there is a night market, must go!) 15 min walk in any direction will get you into less popular area where locals have their restaurants. Highly advise you go there instead of in the centre. (-money +quality!)

Cons: The water from the tap is not drinkable and has a strange smell. This is the case in a lot of places in the centre though. The beds are a bit hard. And the room only has the necessities. You get what you pay for! +It’s clean and in an supurb location! -Facilities

Old Phuket perf

Pros: in the perfect old town center, you can walk in the main street market

Cons: a little bit difficult to find, the entrance is a part of shop

Phuket old town perfect starting point. Awesome location, true value for money

Pros: we had a spacious room, and clean floor bed and linen. The shower and toilet were also clean. The place itself is run down and it shows in the corners and ceilings. But the location is superb. The staff is friendly and helpfull

Cons: The place could use a touch up.
