Sunwing Kamala Beach

Pros: Everything was fab apart from the reserving of sunbeds at the beach pool. I removed a towel as beds had been reserved for hours. Was told by staff this was unacceptable even though there is a sign saying no reserving sunbeds 🤷‍♀️

Pros: Everything except less variety for vegetarian breakfast. Chef was happy to make few special dishes.

Pros: So many pools, and very helpful staff. Also proximity to restaurants along the beach was excellent!

Pros: They upgraded us to lulu and barni suite, it was wonderful. All the team, the facilities are great.

Pros: This place was perfect for my family beach right outside heaps of restaurants outside the hotel and the market was just down the road for cheap food and shopping! The hotel is kids friendly has heaps of activities to do for the kids. Kalama is family friendly as well away from the hustle and bustle.

Pros: Fantastic facilities for families, amazing kids & entertainment staff.

Cons: Cleaners were inconsistent, often left the floors too slippery to walk on. Whole family caught gastro from our stay (as did some other families who stayed).

Pros: breakfast good and clean free of flies but birds bit of a nuisance but we were very pleased with this hotel

Pros: The pools were great for the kids, very clean as was all facilities that we saw. The breakfast was great as well - we were there for 8 nights and there were enough breakfast options to keep it interesting. The family was all sick at some point during our holiday and many thanks to the staff for assisting Be aware that if you are travelling without kids, stay at the Sunprime which is attached and next door. if there was an adult in the group that didn't have kids, they could easily stay there and you could still meet up as needed

Cons: When it was quite rainy it was just easier to stay in the resort with kids and eat at Som's. Besides the breakfast, we felt the food in Som's was fairly average and all Thai dishes we tried failed to hit the mark. For the price we thought it might have been better. The location was ok and only a short walk to the main area of Kamala - not a great deal of options there though for food and places for drinks. A happy hour wouldn't go astray to assist in increasing the atmosphere in the place! At one point it rained so much that that local water treatment area overflowed into the beach and it was closed for a period - perhaps the local municipality needs to spend some money on the infrastructure!
