Baan Pongam Resort

Pros: The staff were awesome and super helpful, even giving us rides to and from Ao Nang walking street. We totally tipped them because it saved us money compared to a taxi. They even helped us rent a scooter! The location was perfect, but the bed was a little uncomfortable.

Cons: Bed was slightly hard and uncomfortable Could also do with bedside lamp

Helpful staff, the pool was nice and relaxing and the room is great

Pros: It’s a relaxing place, not far from cafes in the beach

Pros: Short walk to the beach which is a lot quieter than the main Ao Nang beach. Owner will run a shuttle into the town or night market which is very welcome.

Cons: First few days they had an issue with their water tanks but all was fine once they fixed it.

Amazing staff, great facilities and location

Pros: The owner was super friendly and very helpful with anything from possible activities to scooters and laundry. Great lush green resort, nice cabins and nice pool. The resort is located ideal and central for activities involving boats (the main ao nang pier is around the corner) but is not as busy as downtown ao nang. 10/10 would recommend

Such a lovely stay

Pros: Loved my stay here. The host was so lovely and helpful and offered free taxi rides into town. The accommodation is a little bit of a walk on foot if you want to be close to restaurants ect which is fine in the daytime but evening you don’t really want to be walking up the main road in the dark. Best place I stayed in Thailand, the beds were really comfy and the pillows were the best I had while in Thailand. Clean rooms and lovely surroundings. Such good value for money. They offer a basic breakfast which is such great value too. Would definitely stay again.

Cons: A little far out from restaurants but not a problem when the host offered free lifts.

A little haven with a jungle vibe!

Pros: Loved the location…slightly out of town, so peaceful but not too far from some shops and restaurants. The grounds are lush…we had baby birds nesting right next to our bungalow. The pool was great and the only time you really see the other guests. The owner was helpful and free tuk tuk rides were a bonus.

Cons: The resort isn’t high end & has some issues such as low water pressure, but it feels authentic and just the kind of place we love.

Pros: Great small resort hotel. Location is good even when you are without a transportation, as there is a tuktuk available. Pool was nice, room was spacious. I just didn’t like that it had no mosquito net, as they may disturb you at night by entering the bungalow through some holes in the floor. Also coffee at breakfast was bad (it was an instant coffee). Taking into account the budget price I still recommend this hotel as it gives you the resort feeling and is located away from the mass tourism roads, yet close to the pier and seaside (nice walks!)

Even though we were bothered by the road and the shower, we had a great stay at the hotel. We loved the pool.

Pros: The pool area and the green surrondings are very nice and very well kept. The manager is very helpful. Breakfast is good.

Cons: The rooms are not clean enough, and things were not worlking properly, for example the shower was a disaster - nearly no water coming out. The road close to the rooms is very noisy, sometimes it felt like sleeping on a highway.

Pros: This place is great. had we known how beautiful and secluded it was yet close to Ao Nang we would have stayed here longer and instead of other places booked. Owner very chill and helpful.
