KPOP Hostel

Enjoyable stay

Pros: This was my first hostel experience & it exceeded my expectations. Good location, clean, comfy bed. Would recommend!

Cons: Like most hostels, there is limited space to store your bags. Some safe’s were broken. I would recommend bringing ear plugs.

Pros: Hostel has great location, close to the beach. The staff is amazing, very kind and helpful people. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfy. Definitely recommend to stay here.

Pros: Maya and the owner/manager were just amazing. Made me feel safe, welcome, looked after and organised trips for me cheaper than anywhere else. I stayed in the female dorm and I slept so well - it had a blackout curtain to pull across. Met some lovely people there too. Never stayed in a hostel before and was worried with all the horror stories but these guys were awesome and put me at ease.

Cons: There is only one bathroom for 6 females so it wasn’t always easy to get a shower / go to the toilet without waiting. Only other thing is tbe aircon is scheduled to go off for an hour in the middle of the night - it can get hot because of this. Thankfully, I brought a handheld fan.

Pros: The owner is kind , place is clean, great location.

Pros: The cats are very cute. Great location near smart bus stop. The room was quiet at night.

Cons: AC is not on all the time, for example I think between 6 am 8am it stops. I woke up sweating. The room could do with better cleaning, for example the window was quite dusty.

Pros: Great location in Karon beach, the room was very comfortable with good bed and bathroom. The hosts were really nice and helpful with everything you need.

Super helpful place to stay

Great hostel

Pros: KPOP is great. Clean, the beds are very comfortable with walls and ceilings between the side beds and the upper bed so it feels private even though it is a hostel only four beds in the room a definite plus. KPOP is well located, here you can find proximity to everything, the beach, restaurants for small or large wallets, just choose. I am an old man, mostly young backpackers live at KPOP, but it was no problem to blend in with the young people, met travelers from many countries and had nice chats with almost all the residents. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Last but not least as a solo traveler it can be quite boring and feel lonely to stay in a hotel, so if you have never stayed in a hostel I highly recommend it. PS if you are sensitive to disturbing noise then ask for a room/bed facing the back, really quiet and peaceful on that side of the hostel. Greetings Uffe.

Pros: Owner very friendly and helpful, the two hostel cats were so sweet. It was nice only having four beds per room. Only two blocks from the beach, super close to tons of restaurants and laundry services, and easy to take transit to airport if needed.

Cons: Lots of stairs! Which is not a big deal but just a heads up for anyone that may have injuries or not be super mobile.
