Relaxing House Koh Yao Yai

Pros: Very warm welcome and delicious breakfast. Also the location and atmosphere was very good :)

Pros: Excellent value for money. You need a scooter to get around the island.

Pros: Excellent value for money. So clean. Host was so accommodating. She arranged for scooters to the property for us and did our laundry.

Pros: Had a lovely stay here would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Koh Yao Yai! The family were so lovely, they gave us fresh orange juice and mango on arrival, and had our motorbike ready for us as requested. We got different Thai breakfast every morning and they evening came after us when we left on a moped to bring a charger I had left behind! 10/10 recommend :)))

Pros: Bungalows are in the middle of the island, It's very easy to explore the whole island. A mother and her daughter run the bungalows, and every morning they brought us a different breakfast. It was delicious. The beds are very comfortable. The bungalows are surrounded by nature; you can hear the birds and monkeys in the morning. The road didn't bother us because there were no cars or scooters between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Pros: Very friendly host. Tasty local breakfast. Location in the middle of the island, no beach nearby, but its not a problem if you have scooter (host provide it for additional cost).

Cons: Ants, cockroachs, lizards and other unknown siblings in the house and nearby. Tv was not working, wifi signal was low.

Lovely family business with spacious and clean bungalows

Pros: We stayed for 4 nights at Relaxing House with our 11 y/o and it was great. Lovely family business from wonderful and caring people. It’s a small operation with only 4 bungalows. The bungalows are spacious and clean and it was great to get breakfast on our balcony every morning. We loved the ‘surprise breakfast’ as it was never just standard eggs and toast but always something more creative. We were also very happy with the scooter we rented from them. They helped us book a trip to Hong Island and also a taxi and ferry ticket back to Krabi. Would definitely recommend!

Cons: There are no stores or restaurants within easy walking distance so you do need a scooter to get around. You could potentially get a taxi every time you want to go out but that’s very inconvenient

Lovely welcoming hosts at this quiet home stay. Great value for money, basic but air con great and very clean.

Pros: Communication before arriving, messaged with arrival time at pier and a car was waiting to taxi us to property. Lovely welcome from mother and daughter. Sorted us mopeds straight away at a good rate. This is essential as property is in the middle of the island. Roads were quiet, safe and easy to use. 4 nice, clean but basic bungalows. We were the only guests. We asked for dbl and single to accommodate 3 in same place. Only complaint was from husband saying bed was rock solid. It was very hard but I didn’t mind it. Air con excellent, bathroom clean, shower powerful.

Cons: Was worried about the location before arriving but there doesn’t seem to be any area that is the ‘centre’ or busy except where hotels were. Mopeds essential or you can get quad bikes or we saw quite a few side car mopeds too! The freedom you get from mopeds lets you discover the whole island which is what we did.

Pros: Everything, the bungalow, the location, the Aircon, the price, the helpful staff, the little breakfast, the kitties

Pros: This family is very helpful and friendly ❤️ they organised for us free pick up from the pier and also booked the best possible transfer to our next destination. They were bringing to us delicious breakfast every Morning. I hope to come back there one day to spend time in this beautiful place once again.
