Pailin Hotel

Perfect location, lovely room.

Pros: Beautiful views over the balcony, perfect location (10 minute walk to the beach). Staff were lovely, our A/C broke at 9pm and they sent someone to fix it straight away. Very clean, had everything we needed. Would 100% recommend!

Pros: Clean room, very friendly owners and staff. I'm staying for the 3rd time here, no problems at all. One time the air conditioner was broken, they repaired it in just one hour. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay!

Budget friendly next to the best beach!

Pros: Great value for money! Room was comfortable and balcony was nice to chill on. Easy 10 minute walk down to the beach, the beach was lovely, my fav in Thailand so far. Had such a pleasant time and good affordable places to eat around.

Comfy room in great location

Pros: The room was spacious and had a lovely balcony with table and chairs. You can't see the sea but it is still a lovely view, particularly at sunset. The WiFi and air con worked well. Staff were friendly but don't speak much english (we used google translate). They advertised various tours and ferries etc at reception but in the end I booked elsewhere and online, partly because of the language barrier. There is a book swap downstairs. Klong Muang is beautiful, has everything you need but not too busy/crowded. The beaches are pristine and peaceful - you don't get hassled by vendors etc. Still lots of shops, bars and restaurants and not too far to Ao Nang for boat trips to islands and ferry to Phuket. There was a kettle and fridge in the room.

Cons: The hotel is looking a bit dated particularly the bathroom. The sink leaked and so did the toilet, the toilet also didn't flush very well. The shower pressure was quite low. I paid for a double room but they gave me a twin so I had to sleep in a single bed. The safe didn't work, it was quite old or possibly just needed new batteries. The bed was on castors so it moved around. On a map it looks very close to the beach and it is but to walk there you have to go quite a long way round, which is a bit annoying, especially in the heat.

Great Stay

Pros: Liked the location, 15 mins from the beach. Near a 7/11, ample restaurants nearby. The staff was polite and courteous. Scooty available on rent. Very good value for money.

Humble little gem

Pros: The staff were very lovely, it was very clean and a good location near the beach. So good for the money you pay! Each room has a nice balcony and although the rooms are quite basic in amenities it was a very lovely stay. You will need your own internet though as our connection was very bad the whole time we stayed! If you go to the beach you can get on a long tail boat to any of the islands close by. We did this to Hong island and it was our best day in Thailand.
