Banpoo

Pros: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This place is a true gem. Beautiful views, an incredibly comfortable bed, and a fantastic host… I only wish I could have stayed longer. Scooters are available to explore the island (everything is just a few minutes away), making it easy to move between lively spots and peaceful corners. The host is one of the most patient and empathetic people I’ve ever met. She picked me up at the pier, and when I lost the scooter key, she handled everything calmly and effortlessly. She even bought me a drink to celebrate! Don’t hesitate — this place is absolutely fabulous.

Pros: Poo is a very friendly and helpful host. You can rent a scooter directly from her or she helps organize taxi trip or to get bicycle delivered directly to the place.

Pros: Really homely place, had all the amenities and our host Poo was very hospitable and helpful with recommending places we should visit. Would definitely come again!

We will always have fond memories of our time at Banpoo. It was impressively beautiful and relaxed.

Pros: Room directly on the water/mangroves with ebb and flow experience. Great terrace with a view of Mangoven and the sea. Place is small, quiet and has everything you need: 3 restaurants, supermarket, washing machine, lovely neighbors, nature sounds. Poo, the owner, is super nice, helpful and always available. Her fridge is stocked with cold beer, water, sodas and Schweppes. She surprises us with sweets in the morning or fresh fruit and she has the best tips for excursions and beaches. Poo is great and her house with its 3 guest rooms is a real feel-good place for anyone looking for peace and quiet and who wants to explore the island by scooter (which Poo organizes). The nearest town with market and bars and stores and supermarket and even more restaurants is a 7 minute drive away.

Pros: Overall all pretty good, but the location made it the best. Next to some locals on a house on the water on the least visited side of the island. You can easily reach the entire island by scooter.

In Mangrove, not for small children

Pros: Calm, friendly staff and owner family. Big terrace, Mangrove with birds. Owner and staff are in nearby restaurant and have also motorbikes for rent.

Cons: Except bed no seat in the room. The stilted building had a terrace and walkway round, which was partly open to the ground. A child could easily fall in the low water or deep mud (depending on tide) . 6 to 10 km from swimming beaches. Lonely, 2 restaurants, a small shop and a few private houses around. Restaurant good, but really expensive. Open at breakfast time, but no tipical breakfast on the menue. Without motorbike not much to do. Hammock and chairs would be nice. The \

Pros: Die Unterkunft ist am Wasser und ist mit dem Roller gzt zu erreichen. Direkt neben dem Hotel ist ein Restaurant wo man einfach durch gehen kann und sich am Pier den Sonnenuntergang angucken kann es war wirklich sehr schön.
