Hillhouse - Koh Yao Noi

Pros: The view is the most amazing view ever - you absolutely have to get up for sunrise it’s incredible. The staff were lovely and so helpful, they helped us to sort a taxi back to the pier. Breakfast is great, you make your own hot drink and have a choice of different style eggs or pancakes, and a choice of fresh fruit smoothies. The rooms were lovely, the AC made nice and cool. Walking distance to nearby bars and cafes/restaurant. We had a scooter so we got to go around the island and explore a little more.

Beautiful room with a great view

Pros: Great views of the sunrise. Big room with very comfy bed. Property is beautiful and very Thai. Breakfast was nice. Staff are great.

Cons: Bit of a steep walk up if you don’t have a motorbike.

Pros: Another wonderful stay here. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Our bungalow was beautiful and spotlessly clean with a wonderful view over the ocean. Daily cleaning & topping up of toiletries. Delicious breakfast served.

Cons: Maybe have a small clothes drying rack on the balcony.

Heaven

Pros: Hillhouse was the highlight of our 6 week stay in Thailand, we fell in love with Koh Yai Noi and Hillhouse. Sat on our balcony watching 60 hornbills flying past was amazing and we loved our little frog that lived in our bathroom. At sunset and sunrise the noise from the local wildlife is incredible- some may say deafening but only lasts 1/2 an hour then all peaceful again- if you love wildlife this place is definitely for you - we will be back. Dan and his lovely wife and niece run this place beautifully and are so helpful, breakfast is fantastic- there really is nothing not to love about this place.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat - this stay was worth the money for the views alone.

Pros: The view is unbeatable, and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Easily the most comfortable beds that we had while travelling around Thailand. We stayed in December over Christmas and at around 6:00pm, all of the hornbills would fly by, which was so special to watch. Breakfast every morning with mango sticky rice and a fresh smoothie was delicious.

Cons: Nothing that we would change. Everything exceeded expectations.

Pros: Absolutely fabulous with a great breakfast included. The staff were super helpful - the only downside was having to leave!

Pros: Authentic and exceptionally comfortable bungalow with an incredible view of the bay. The view of changes in tide through the day along with the sunrise is spectacular. Very close to great restaurant options and massage/bottle shop/convenience store. High quality finishes in the bungalow as well. The owners take great care of the facilities and the guests. Included breakfast was a nice touch.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Pros: Great location next to the beach and the place was very clean and we had our own balcony with a beautiful view and a comfortable hammock. They made the bed each day and the breakfast was very good.

Cons: It can be noisy at night time with the birds twirling but it’s part of the experience

Pros: Scenic views, well-kept garden greenery, excellent cleanliness, and a good selection of smoothies at breakfast.

Amazing paradise

Pros: Amazing location, view, breakfast, staff, cleanness!

Cons: Small holes not fixed in the mosquito net of the bed, but there was a free mosquito repellent available in the room, so I didn't have any issues. And during my visit in January, I didn't see many mosquitos (maybe 1-2 max , but it didn't bother me)
