Lok Mun Bungalows

Good value and beautifully green

Pros: Very good value for the price. I stayed four nights in one of the bungalows in the back overlooking the water, it was beautiful and green. The bungalow was clean and had bedsheets and towels. No insects in the room (except gekkos ;)). The terrace is spacious and has a hammock. The family that runs it is friendly. They offer food at the restaurant and laundry service.

Cons: I underestimated how hot the bungalow was without AC, during the day 35+ degrees and at night just below 29. The garbage was not removed from the room during my stay, so for longer stays this will get smelly in the heat. Communication could be a bit better, like about the power cut on the island for a whole day

Pros: - swimming pool - the price was very reasonable - good restaurant - big fridge - nice owners

Cons: - the nearest beach is aprox 1km away and is very shalow for a long distance into the see

Lovely place in very rural surroundings

Pros: Bungalow in rural surroundings with porch with hammock and comfortable furniture. Restaurant on site serving breakfasts and inexpensive quality Thai food. Lovely owners always happy to help. Once Sae knew we had an interest in birds he spent quite a while pointing them out and even took us on a round island trip bird spotting.

Cons: Kettle. Plug socket and table near the bed.

Great value for money stay

Pros: Great value for money. Nice bungalows and great location

Cons: No problem included breakfast options available

Cheap and no frills, great if you’re going to be out the entire day.

Pros: Cheap. More or less clean. Towels changed upon request. Laundry done for 60B/kg. Had dinner there once, it was fine. Owners are usually around to help with anything. Rented a scooter from a company called billy which includes free luggage drop off and pick up. Would highly recommend.

Cons: They could offer a room cleaning after 3 or 4 days. Host pretty unresponsive on WhatsApp and booking.com messaging.

Wonderful garden place

Pros: It’s a wonderful place on this island, the localization is nice in the garden, near to the beach (10 minutes walking). Maitree and his wife are very kind people, helpfulness and their kitchen is local, with their garden products! The little swimming pool is very nice after a sunny day. Unforgettable moment with them!

Pros: We stayed in paradise. The bungalow is located within a lush garden and the owners are taking care so lovingly of the garden, the Restaurant (most delicious food) and their guest. We booked 5 nights and would have loved to extend for another 5 if they would have had availability! Definitely coming back!

Pros: Peaceful little area, chalet is huge and surrounded by the owners’ lovely gardens

Cons: Nothing, though bare in mind it’s best to rent a scooter so you can get to different parts of the island easy:)

Great stay in spacious rooms, green surroundings, hammock and a pool.

Pros: Great stay, with a hammock and spacious apartments. Gets too hit in the afternoon, but outside on the terrace it is OK, or you can go to the pool. Having a restaurant next to the apartment is a great plus and they cook delicious food! The owners are locals, super nice and sweet. Speaking OK English.

Pros: By foot close to beach, cafes restaurants, .clean, quiet, pool on premises. Friendly staff, organic food in their restaurant, coconut soup- very tasty. Not expensive, no Aircon but I didn't need it.
