Great..
Pros: Clean, spacious room with a fridge, kettle, coffee, TV, and a balcony. The cleaning lady came every day to offer me clean towels, free water, coffee etc. Good value for the money.

Great value for money & within walking distance to the old town
Pros: This was our second stay at Gankluy Mansion. It's in a great location for visiting the old town and not to far from Bus Terminal 1 and a fraction of the price of staying more central. It did however feel a lot busy in the area than last time. The room was big, spacious and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. They kindly arranged a taxi for our onward journey.
Cons: Our only complaint is the bed made a loud creaking noise from the tiniest of movement.

Pros: Clean and spacious room in a quiet neighborhood. Room was supplied with a desk, airconditioner, wardrobe, fridge, and sink. The staff even leaves bottled water and cookies whenever your room is cleaned/tidied. Several good restaurants/food stalls in the neighbourhood and 7-Eleven around the corner, along with a gas station and launderette. Really a top-notch stay. The location itself is close to Bus Terminal 1 (airport+city buses) and the harbor, but far away from e.g. Bus Terminal 2 (intercity buses) and popular places on the island. So go here if you prefer a relaxed Phuket experience, not if you prefer a party experience.
Cons: The only minus I can think of is that the mattress in my room was old and dented and the springs pushed into my body, which did not make for a great night's rest. But that could be different from room to room.

We extended our stay
Pros: We extended our stay, it is one of the most comfortable spaces we have found in the south of Thailand. Very clean, coffee, water and cookies available, flexible hours, in a very quiet neighborhood.

Pros: The hotel is very well located: 10 minutes from the Museum, 5 minutes from Terminal 1, and 20 minutes from the bus stop to the beaches. Nearby, you'll find a 7/11, a gym, and the G Market night market. The room is very spacious and exceeded our expectations. It has a refrigerator, a water heater, and a TV with English channels. They cleaned the room daily and left two bottles of water and coffee. It's an hour from the beaches by bus, but it's a pleasant and affordable option. We preferred Phuket Town because it's quieter and more peaceful than staying on the beaches. The staff was very attentive, and the area was quiet. Flexible check-in. Highly recommended.

A pleasant stay close to Phuket Old Town
Pros: We stayed at Gankluy Mansion for only a single night. It is located on a relatively quiet street, just a 10-minute walk away from the popular Phuket old town. The receptionist was very welcoming & the check-in process was smooth. We got a room on the 1st floor and had to use the staircase to reach the floor. The room was clean and spacious & the bed was large. The room was equipped with a wardrobe, chairs, a bedside table, a television, an air conditioner & an electric kettle. A couple of water bottles were also provided for the stay. There was a separate washing sink inside the room as well. The bathroom was sufficiently spaced & it was clean. Hot water worked without an issue. Towels, soap & amenities were available. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at the Gankluy Mansion.
Cons: Bathroom looked a bit dark, so the lighting could be improved. There was a leak on the commode's flush tank, but it wasn't significant.

Great value, decent location and very clean!
Pros: Very good value for money! A lot of space in the rooms, daily cleaning and a good slightly less busy location for old town
Cons: The mattress was pretty hard but this is very normal for Thailand however there was a thick quilt to lay on top of which was fine!
